Concept and design for a flexible and simple to use mechanical measurement system.  Utilizing proven LVDT measurement technology, a processing circuit is added to each LVDT to create a calibrated digital interface.  Powerful digital LVDT algorithms were created to allow inexpensive microcontrollers to be used as the digital signal processors.  On-board features include setting limits, remastering, and triggering I/O for easy connection to factory automation controllers.

 

The SmartProbe Display provides a method to connect several SmartProbes together and consolidate measurement information into a single pass/fail indicator for an operator, change part configurations quickly, and provide an interface to external controllers, like PLC’s, and external databases via Ethernet, dual wired and one wireless.  Includes USB for interface to discrete I/O and external data storage and is configured through an embedded web server.
